So you plan on traveling to Northern or Eastern Europe? Here is a weather forecast that you need not to ignore for your own sake. Since mid January weather in these regions has been affected by Siberian winter winds. Not only countries like Switzerland, but also Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia has been freezing their bottoms in rough temperatures reaching -30C. And although the temperature slightly moderated this week to an average of -15C in the day time, it is being predicted that coming weekend it will drop again to a deep winter freeze of -22C and possibly more.
If you are traveling by car or planning to land in the airport at night time, do consider the possibility of your own car or taxis not working in this freeze of -30C. Have a backup plan and some solid warm clothes on.
